Matan Golan reports in Haaretz on 27 October 2026:
Settlers attacked Palestinians in several locations across the West Bank on Tuesday, while Israeli soldiers expelled Palestinian olive harvesters from groves in other areas.
In the South Hebron Hills, a Palestinian was attacked after trying to drive away settlers grazing sheep in a Palestinian-owned olive grove. Soldiers who arrived at the scene arrested two of his family members. One soldier was filmed hitting one of them while he was handcuffed and blindfolded. Both were later released.
In the village of Burqa, near Nablus, a man in his 50s was attacked and required medical treatment. In Dayr Jarir, near Ramallah, a father and son were attacked while picking olives and taken for medical treatment, according to Palestinian reports.
Soldiers also expelled olive harvesters from several locations, including Turmus Ayya and Barta’a, in the Jenin district, according to Palestinian reports.
In the village of Beit Ur al-Tahta, soldiers used crowd-dispersal measures to remove Palestinian olive harvesters and activists from groves following a confrontation in which Israelis clashed with farmers and called in the army.
In the villages of Madama and Tal, an armed settler drove olive harvesters off village land.

Meanwhile, soldiers shot a Palestinian youth at a checkpoint near Huwara, south of Nablus, on Tuesday, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. The Red Crescent took him for medical treatment, but its access to the scene was initially blocked.
Soldiers also reportedly fired at a Palestinian vehicle during a military raid on the village of Nabi Salih, north of Ramallah. During a raid on the village of Burin, dozens of residents were detained, according to Palestinian reports.
Security forces also reportedly destroyed monuments in several villages, including Madama and Beita.
Overnight, settlers set fire to several vehicles in the village of Umm Safa, north of Ramallah, and sprayed hate graffiti at the scene, including the phrases “We only choose God” and “Tefillin revenge.” The phrases refer to settlers’ claims that soldiers burned religious artifacts during the evacuation of an outpost from the yard of the Tubasi family in the village of Jalud several days earlier.
Meanwhile, the IDF continued its operations in Hebron for the fifth consecutive day.
The IDF Spokesperson did not respond to a query from Haaretz.
