Delegation Stopped at Border
Israeli occupation authorities held two British MPs and a member of the Scottish Parliament for eight hours on Monday before preventing them from entering the occupied West Bank, Al Mayadeen reported.

Scottish National Party MP Lara Bird, Labour MP Clive Lewis and Scottish Greens lawmaker Kate Nevens were traveling with a 23-person Progressive International delegation.  Bird said the visit was intended to “stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land.”

The group attempted to cross the King Hussein Bridge, which connects Jordan and the West Bank.  According to Bird, border officials confiscated the delegation’s passports and summoned its members individually for questioning before ultimately refusing entry.
