Free speech on Israel

The issue of antisemitism has in recent years become entangled with the right to criticise Israel.

JJP supports the Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism as a rational definition of antisemitism which provides a logical basis for distinguishing between fundamental criticism of Israel and antisemitism.

JJP opposes the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance Working Definition of Antisemitism (IHRA WD) because it creates confusion between criticism of Israel and antisemitism, and creates a strong bias towards seeing criticism of Israel as antisemitic.
