Doctor Singled Out During Ben-Gvir Visit
Israeli prison guards restrained and severely beat imprisoned Gaza doctor Marwan al-Hams during National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s visit to Ganot prison on October 7, the Prisoners’ Media Office reported.

The office said Ben-Gvir entered room five in the prison’s second section, called out to al-Hams and began provoking him. Guards then restrained the doctor and assaulted him, singling him out from the other prisoners in the room.

According to the office, al-Hams responded by asserting that he had carried out his professional duties.  The office disputed an Israeli accusation that he had killed a soldier, saying the soldier concerned had returned in the recent exchange agreement.
