JJP at the Gaza demonstrations

As well as our lobbying work, JJP members are involved individually and collectively in the many demonstrations of solidarity with Palestinians over the war on Gaza.

We mobilise support via our mailings and website. We belong to the Jewish Bloc which currently coordinates nine Jewish groups to ensure that we all have a collective Jewish presence on the national demonstrations which we attend with our feather flags waving.

We also encourage supporters locally to work with other Jews in loose local coordinations as well as with local Palestine solidarity groups where possible and to send letters or phone in to the local press and radio wherever appropriate. The national demonstrations have been massive, certainly over half-a-million on 11th November and never falling below 100,000.

The Jewish Bloc has been an unfailing and significant presence with around two thousand on that day, always noticeable and much appreciated on other marches and demonstrations.
