It is getting harder and harder for Palestinians in the West Bank to go about their daily lives, let alone doing the annual olive harvest, which is hugely important for the economy overall and for many families it is the foundation of their livelihood. This bulletin from Friends of Hebron highlights some of the current problems and provides links to further information about each situation as well to ways to support the work . Some of you may want to consider volunteering for the 2025 harvest.
The horrors in Gaza continue and quieter, slower ways to make life unbearable for Palestinians in the West Bank have led to c 18 communities leaving their land after pressure, mainly from settlers has become intolerable. Meanwhile over 700 Palestinians have been killed and Settler leaders have welcomed Trump’s election win with the hope that Judea and Samaria [the West Bank] will forever be a part of Israel”.
