Israeli settlers carried out a series of attacks across the occupied West Bank on Sunday, injuring two Palestinians and targeting homes and vehicles in several communities.
Meanwhile, official Palestinian figures revealed that Israeli forces and settlers committed 2,256 attacks throughout July in an accelerating campaign of violence and settlement expansion.
According to Voice of Palestine Radio, two Palestinians were injured after Israeli settlers assaulted them on the outskirts of the town of Beit Ula, northwest of Hebron. The official Palestinian news agency WAFA said settlers also raided the village of Abu Njeim, southeast of Bethlehem, gathering in several neighborhoods and along the main road, raising fears among residents of further attacks.
Settlers also targeted Palestinian homes and vehicles in the village before moving into the Gharaba area and the outskirts of Sinjil, Kafr Malik, Deir Jarir, Taybeh, Yabrud and Beitillu, northeast of Ramallah.
Israeli Army Raids
Meanwhile, Israeli forces, accompanied by illegal settlers, raided the outskirts of the Al-Tira neighborhood in Ramallah.
In Salem, east of Nablus, Israeli forces backed by a military bulldozer brought three members of the Ishtayeh family—currently held as Palestinian prisoners—to their family home. One of the prisoners was reportedly forced to dig in the yard of a neighboring house before being taken into his father’s home. Before withdrawing, Israeli soldiers detained another Palestinian, identified as Yamen Atwi.
