We provide links to articles we think will be of interest to our supporters. We are sympathetic to much of the content of what we post, but not to everything. The fact that something has been linked to here does not necessarily mean that we endorse the views expressed in it.

Why the sun may not rise tomorrow

The possibility that the US might not exercise its veto against pro-Palestine resolutions from France and Jordan is world-shaking – but, says Uri Avnery, the US needs Arab allies in the war against ISIS, and is fed up with seeming to be in Bibi’s pocket when world opinion has swung against Israel’s subjugation of Palestinians.

Israelis to Obama: we don’t care, don’t bother us

Putting hope in the Israeli people, as President Obama did in his Jerusalem speech, is a waste of hope. The Israeli public is, says columnist Zev Lenchner, “indifferent, conservative, not daring, and excels in passing the time somehow with minimum disorder”. And so they will continue until they are shocked out of their passive complacency. Like human beings everywhere?

UK ambassador says facts on the ground are driving British public away from Israel

Last week, Matthew Gould, Britain’s ambassador to Israel told the country’s Channel 10 TV station that middle-of-the road British public opinion was shifting away from support for Israel because of what it read and heard about settlements, the occupation and the siege of Gaza. Ha’aretz reports.
