The city’s legal adviser, attorney Yamit Klein, sent a letter Sunday to Beit Hagefen CEO Asaf Ron, requesting that he convene the center’s board for an emergency meeting over a book launch for the Hebrew translation of “Apeirogon: A Novel,” scheduled for February 15.

Unfortunately, on Tuesday the city capitulated to public pressure and announced the event’s postponement, without stating the new date. In four words: The event is canceled.
