Times of Israel reports, “The Israeli Navy opened fire Saturday at a Palestinian man who crossed the permitted fishing zone near the shore of the northern Gaza Strip. The man was evacuated to the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon in mild-to-moderate condition for emergency treatment, the Ynet news site reported. Israeli security forces detained three additional Palestinians suspected of deviating from the permitted fishing zone, according to Ynet.”

“Some 10,000 Palestinians flocked to the Gaza Strip border for violent protests on Friday afternoon as the IDF intensified a crackdown in the West Bank in response to a pair of deadly shootings believed to have been carried out by the Hamas terrorist group. The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza said 16 protesters were injured in clashes with Israeli security forces along the border…According to the Ynet news site, most of the explosives did not clear the border fence, and fell inside the Strip.” (more…)
