Having laid the foundation for an Arab-free state…

There is now nothing to protect Arabs – or any ethnic or religious minority or democratic institution – from being subjugated to the will of the settlers’ leadership. A very disturbing account from Oren Yiftachel.

Cost of settlements bleed the public purse

On the books, settlements come under the authority of the World Zionist Organisation, Settlements Division. In practice, they are far too costly and WZO is too decrepit to get the money. So the Israeli state has quietly taken them over and finds that it is owed millions of shekels which it has little chance of ever getting back.

Israel’s golden goose – the Jewish Diaspora

From the pockets and bank accounts of Jews not living in Israel comes a river of money that has kept alive Jewish bodies well beyond their best-by date. The WZO, Jewish Agency and Jewish National Fund are among bodies set up for the purpose of creating a Jewish homeland which now give public roles in Israel to their executives which they otherwise would not have. Well-researched report from Anshel Pfeffer.

New Jews-only towns planned to outnumber Arabs in Galilee

The Arabs of the Galilee, all Israeli citizens, have lived there a long time. But, like the Bedouin Israeli citizens, this is unacceptable to the World Zionist Organization – an arm of the Israeli state. They don’t want to build more homes for Jews in the existing towns – which would mean desegregation – so new towns must be built to install a Jewish majority. Equality for all citizens is not one of WZO’s principles.

WZO twists the law to build all mod cons settlement

Palestinian buildings, including water cisterns, are frequently destroyed on the grounds they lack the necessary permits. But Israel’s housing ministry has built homes and pavements and upgraded the water/sewage system without permits at the (also illegal) settlement of Negohot. This has been done under the authority of the World Zionist Organization which functions as the settlements arm of the Israeli state.

World Zionist plea for more Westerners to move to Israel

Just under half of all olim – those who make ‘aliyah’ to Israel – now come from Russia and Ethiopia. The World Zionist Organisation, subsidised by the Israeli government, is piloting a mission to Britain to increase aliyah as “To have less than 10,000 a year from the Western world is a terrible situation . It puts Israel in danger.”
