BDS hidden aim: eliminate Israel

This is the second piece in two weeks to claim that the BDS has a hidden agenda – to destroy Israel through letting it be overrun by Arabs. (How this would come about is in the mind of the fantasists, such as BDS supporter John Spritzler). After all, if BDS achieved its primary aim – of getting Israel to abide by international law – it would surely strengthen Israel and improve its own now very tarnished reputation for decent governance.

New York Times hurriedly removes dirty word from headline

A sharp-eyed Twitter user spotted a surprisingly direct headline about Palestine and took a screen shot of it; and then a few hours later noticed it had become unsurprisingly bland and euphemistic. Guess which word the New York Times readers may not read or hear? Ali Abuminah provides the evidence.

For younger Jews, Horowitz BDS smear is cynical exploitation

Far from turning people against supporting the Palestinian BDS campaign with his notorious advert linking boycott with holocaust, David Horowitz seems rather to have invigorated understanding of why this campaign matters – and strengthened contempt for those who abuse the significance of the Holocaust. Editorial from electronic intifada.

NY Times fails to publish professors’ letter of protest at Horowitz advert

Last week the New York Times ran an advert placed by the David Horowitz Freedom Centre attacking academics who support the Palestinian BDS movement. Illustrated with a photo of a Nazi German anti-Jew boycott notice, it claimed that boycott one day will be followed by a holocaust the next. The New York Times has not published the subsequent letter of protest signed by 148 professors, posted here.

Massive US support for BDS revealed by hate advert in NY Times

In an advert in the NY Times, David Horowitz, former leftist turned witch-hunter of leftists, accuses supporters of the BDS movement of creating a mood which spawns massacres of Jews. With the obligatory reference to the Holocaust Horowitz seems unaware that the boycott – named after the 1880 ostracising of the Irish land agent Captain Boycott – has a history that does not belong to Jewish victims of the Nazis. Plus Tikun Olam on Holocaust abuse.

A chink in Israel, USA & Sons Inc.

The power of the ‘Jewish State’ over Mediterranean countries, and in the USA, seemed unassailable – until the boycott law created the first ever critical coverage in the NY Times. Uri Avnery probes the impact of this change.
