Andrew Greaves writes
During the month of March, I am planning to walk the length of Hadrian’s Wall (approx 84 miles) to raise funds for the ongoing development projects of The Villages Group. I intend to undertake the walk in a number of stages, roughly 15 miles at a time, fitting the sections together around my work commitments, but aiming to have completed the trip by the time Erella and Hamed arrive in Hexham.
Should you fancy a day out on The Wall sometime, please get in touch with me to see if we can find a mutually suitable day to walk a stretch together!
Sat 10th March Bowness-on-Solway to Carlisle (14 miles)
Friday 16th March Carlisle to Gilsland (19 miles)
Friday 23rd March Gilsland to Chesters (19 miles)
Sunday 25th or Monday 26th Chesters to Heddon (15 miles)
Tuesday 27th Heddon-on-the-Wall to Wallsend (15 miles)
If you’d like to support this venture, please email me with your pledge.
And if you can think of anyone else who might be willing and able to help the work of the Villages Group, please pass this information on to them!
